Our Development|Recreation Program

  • Otter Tri welcomes kids 8 years and up to join us.
  • These kids may have raced one or two triathlons, or are interested in learning.
  • The Development Program is a pathway to our Performance team.
  • The 8-10s (River Otters) are expected to compete in at least two races per year.
  • At 11 years, (Giant River Otters) they can choose to be more performance driven.
  • Because we believe in a variety of sports and activities to help us develop into well-rounded individuals, our schedule reflects that. It has flexibility.

Tri Teaches Movement

Kids learn movement and skills related to three sports. Strength, balance and coordination is incorporated in our training.

Tri Teaches Confidence

Kids learn to set-up transition, carry their equipment, organize gear bags, and gain self-confidence as they learn!

Kids Make New Friends

Kids make friends on the team, and while racing. It is exciting to train and race with friends!

Tri is Fun

We play antennae tag and wear cones on our heads. There is a lot of laughter at practice.
