Meet Coach Meg

I became involved in triathlon in grad school when asked to coach swimmers seeking to do their first race. This experience confirmed my love of coaching as well as my love of the sport. I founded OtterTriTeam after coaching kids in conjunction with the Houston YMCA and Houston Kids Triathlon.

Currently, I serve as Head Coach of MSJ Athletics, OtterTriTeam, Baylor Triathlon Club and I teach Weight Training and Conditioning at Houston Community College.

My work in triathlon is focused on performance. I specialize in Short Course and 70.3, beginners, women and U23s.

I am certified as a Level 2 Coach for Youth and Juniors, Short and Long Course with USA Triathlon. Other credentials include: CSCS, Bioforce Certified Conditioning Coach, UESCA Endurance Sports Nutrition Coach, USATF, and USAC.

I have also participated in continuing education regarding Women and Sport performance. I am passionate about Girls and Women in Sport.
